Colin Clive
Colin Clive, 1900-1937, British actor.
After working with him in Journey's End (1930), James Whale chose Clive to play Henry Frankenstein [sic] with Boris Karloff's Monster in Universal's 1931 Frankenstein . He repeated the role in The Bride of Frankenstein (1935), but died (of tuberculosis, hastened by a drinking problem) before the third Universal movie, The Son of Frankenstein (1939).
