2029. Robert Southey to Grosvenor Charles Bedford, 2 February 1812 *

My dear Grosvenor

I am really vexed to think of the trouble these ugly fellows have caused me to give you. – [1]

Send per waggon – from the Bull & Mouth, if there be no place nearer, which perhaps there may.

Ciudad Rodrigo, [2]  if recovered, will be more than a set off for Valencia. [3]  But it grieves my very heart to think that we have an army in that damnd Sicily which might beat Suchet [4]  in the field

RS.

Feby 2. 1812.
