2272. Robert Southey to John Rickman, 20 June [1813]

2272. Robert Southey to John Rickman, 20 June [1813] *
My dear R.
Will you send me the yearly accounts for 1811 [1] – the last trouble the Register will give you. [2] – It will give me I fear yet a good deal.
My house is in the utmost discomfort. George is dying; – for the last week he has been totally helpless, – & we hope & expect that every hour will be his last. [3] – I can do little till all is over. You will however see me in town by the middle of next month at latest.
Remember me to Mrs R – & tell little Anne [4] that we will measure feet when I see her, & that I am sure hers is bigger now than it was when we measured last.
Has the Capitaneus seen an account of Consag the Jesuits voyage to the head of the Gulph of California in 1746. [5] There is a full account in the x Theatro Americano of Villa-Señor y Sanchez. [6] – A book printed at Mexico, of which I have Hebers copy. I shall bring it up with me, or send it before me.
RS.
June 20.
