2380. Robert Southey to William Gifford, 18 February 1814

2380. Robert Southey to William Gifford, 18 February 1814 *
Keswick. Feby. 18. 1814.
My dear Sir
I send you an account of the Nicobars [1] to which I have brought all the knowledge I could find.
I take the liberty of inclosing a packet for Grosvenor Bedford, that the same potential direction may carry it free. [2] – The snow has left us, & winter tho it has seldom been so rigorous, was never more beautiful than it is among these mountains at this time.
Believe me my dear Sir
Yrs very truly
Robert Southey.
