My resolution is fixed & perhaps before this Vincent has the letter to announce my departure. I will never submit. I am not conscious of having acted wrong — my future welfare may or may not be affected by malicious envy but the firm assurance of rectitude cannot — your last waked me from a pleasant dream & I believe all my pleasant <dreams> are doomd to be disturbd — should I be rejected at Oxford the grave is always open — there at least I shall not be molested.

were we some time again to publish the Flagellant compleat in one volume it would be more likely to answer — publish it by subscription & when 250 sets are subscribd for print that number. I dine in town tomorrow. perhaps I may see you about two if I cannot at that hour will drink tea with you.

I never will return to school. on no account let Egertons lawyer plead. Mr. R  [1]  is your friend.
