Good Advice
The Morning Post (January 21, 1795)

Tho' honest JOHN BULL thinks it wisdom at last,
    In hopes his disasters may presently cease,
To take into pay the good General FAST![1]
    He'd better by far employ General PEACE!


1. It was a practice during the war for the government to proclaim general fast days.
