Eric Gidal

Eric Gidal is Professor of English at the University of Iowa and Editor of Philological Quarterly.  He is the author, most recently, of Ossianic Unconformities: Bardic Poetry in the Industrial Age (Virginia, 2015) and collaborative articles on historical geospatial semantics.  In addition to the course described in his contribution to this collection, he offers courses in environmental literature, book history, and eighteenth-century networks.
