Bysshe Inigo Coffey is a Departmental Lecturer and Tutor at St. Anne’s College, University of Oxford. Previously, he was a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow and Early Career Fellow at Balliol College. His first book, Shelley’s Broken World: Fractured Materiality and Intermitted Song (2021), was shortlisted for the University English First Book Prize. His second book, Shelleyolatry and Shelleyphobia, traces the reception of Percy Bysshe Shelley from 1851 to 1922. He also curates a digital gallery of illustrated editions and visual representations of Shelley, hosted by Oxford. His research spans Romantic and Victorian literature, textual scholarship, theory, disciplinarity, and legal interpretation.
