Emily Zarka

Emily Zarka is pursuing the PhD in English at Arizona State University. She earned her BA in English and BS in Journalism from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Emily’s work investigates literary representations of Romantic literature’s “undead” characters, redefining the term and exploring the gendered implications that accompany them. She won the Lore Metzger Graduate Student Writing Award at the International Conference on Romanticism in 2013.
