Jocelyn Holland

Jocelyn Holland is Associate Professor of German and Comparative Literature at UC Santa Barbara. She has written two monographs, German Romanticism and Science (Routledge, 2009) and Key Texts of Johann Wilhelm Ritter on the Science and Art of Nature (Brill, 2010). In addition to numerous articles on Enlightenment- and Romantic-era science and literature, she has also co-edited several special journal editions on topics such as the aesthetics of the tool, the archimedean point in modernity, and the technologies and cultural practices of time-keeping.
