Poet, novelist, and translator who contributed to Foreign Quarterly Review and the Athenaeum. She wrote several books across a variety of genres including Zeal and Experience: a Tale (1819), Tales of Fault and Feeling (1825), The History of Spain and Portugal (1833), Plays and Poems (1837), and Biographical Sketches, European and Asiatic (1847).
