This flower, the garden’s proudest boast
Is destined, dearest Maid, for thee –
When Love & joy attend thee most
Ah! then thou wilt remember me.
Oh thank these pretty harmless doves
Such be your joys & such your loves
Oh! never yield to feverish strife
Then shall you lead a happy life!
